Below you will find a brief desription of the research projects currently being carried out by our diploma in counselling students. Please click on the name of the student if you want to participate in the research or you want to get information about the research project.
June Anderton. The research project is about the differences between dealing with mourning as a result of a disaster. The project will use the Hillsborough Disaster as a case.
Anne Coghlan. The research project is about the integration of deaf people into the community through employment.
Sue Edwards. The research project is about the way in which family and professionals contribute to dealing with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
Jacqueline Kay. The research project is about the ways in which counselling may be effective for those who experienced childhood sexual abuse.
Don Loy. The research project is about the psychological effects of loosing eyesight either in childhood or in adulthood.
Darren Mann. The research project is about the effectiveness of counselling for young people who self-harm.
Alison Moore. The research project concentrates on the use of creative arts and activities in the counselling process.
Liz Moran. The research project is about post-traumatic stress disorder experienced by train drivers.
Marianna Urdhin. The research project is about the psychological benefit of attending a breast cancer support group for women under 50 years of age.
Lorraine Waters. The research project is about the contribution of counsellors and GPs to the recovery of a person suffering of depression.
